THURSDAY Experimental Wheel with Kate | 6-8pm
THURSDAY Experimental Wheel with Kate | 6-8pm
DATES: July 16 - August 3, 2026
In this eight-week second-level class we’ll embark on an adventure in outlandish and unusual wheel experiments. You’ll have the opportunity to play with new shapes on the wheel, combine basic handbuilding and wheel, and try out new techniques in all areas of pottery.
Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions, with open studio time daily for you to practice on your own.
We cannot offer makeup classes for missed sessions, so we strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up.
This class is for you if:
-You have taken a beginner wheel class (at a studio or in high school/college) and want to expand your horizons
-You’re familiar with the basics of wheel and want to try out some new techniques, shapes, and skills!
Class Includes:
8 weeks of 2 hour classes
Includes 1 bag of clay + tools
2 rounds of firing all your pieces
Access to all the Morehouse glazes
Open studio hours (you can use wheels when they aren’t used for class) to practice/play/work on pieces
Two weeks after classes to finish up all your work
Materials

Basic tools are included (or bring your own)
Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting clay on - we have aprons to help, but they only go so far.
