DATES: July 17 - Sept 4, 2025

In this eight-week class, you’ll explore next-level techniques of handbuilding! This class will be suitable for both 102 and intermediate students, with projects that can be more or less advanced depending on your experience.

Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions, with open studio time daily for you to practice on your own.

In each class session, you will build on what you learned and made the previous week, so we strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up. 

This class is for you if:

You’re familiar or confident with techniques involved in pinch pots, coil building, and slab building. Bonus points if you’re comfortable with sculpting and overforms!

Class Includes:

• 8 weeks of 2 hour classes

• Includes 1 bag of clay + tools

• 2 rounds of firing all your pieces

• Access to all the Morehouse glazes

• Open studio hours to practice/play/work on pieces

• Two weeks after classes to finish up all your work

Materials

• Your first bag of clay comes with the class!

• Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting clay on - we have aprons to help, but they only go so far.

*Additional clay will be $40 per bag, this includes firing pieces and glazing.
