DATES: July 16 - Sept 3, 2025

In this eight-week class, you’ll learn all about clay and the foundations to making anything with it. Handbuilding utilizes a huge variety of techniques including pinch pots, coil building, and building on forms, which will set you up for success in any ceramic endeavors.

Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions, with open studio time daily for you to practice on your own.

In each class session, you will build on what you learned and made the previous week, so we strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up. 

This class is for you if:

You are just getting started with clay or have a little experience and want to grow your skills. 

Class Includes:

• 8 weeks of 2 hour classes

• Includes 1 bag of clay + tools

• 2 rounds of firing all your pieces

• Access to all the Morehouse glazes

• Open studio hours to practice/play/work on pieces

• Two weeks after classes to finish up all your work

Materials

• Your first bag of clay comes with the class!

• Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting clay on - we have aprons to help, but they only go so far.

*Additional clay will be $40 per bag, this includes firing pieces and glazing.
